I talk to Mr Timm about art over fried
fish and venison goulash. Some artists, says Mr Timm, don't
care what other people think about them or their work, but do
exactly what they want, even if this makes life difficult, and
they are poor and misunderstood. But they're happy because they
do what they think is right. But what am I doing by painting
the wishes and the needs of others?
I am a story-telling artist, he concludes, while the others
are silent artists.
